The Plaza History Tribute

As it is said, “Nothing unimportant ever happens at The Plaza”. Since the day doors opened on October 1, 1907, The Plaza has been a New York icon that has hosted kings, presidents, and stars of stage and screen.   The extraordinary property has become a staple for lavish social affairs, blockbuster films, and some of the most memorable moments New York City has ever seen.

We have been fortunate enough to enjoy the legacy of these documented milestones, but, they alone have merely been a fraction of all that has happened in the castle on Central Park South. It is you, the patrons of The Plaza, who have turned moments into memories each time you’ve walked through the front doors.

During the campaign, submissions will be evaluated and the best ones will be displayed on the hotel’s social media pages. The very best ones will be showcased in a culminating special exhibition at the Plaza Hotel during the 2017 winter season with donor names listed to critical acclaim.
